About WiSSCoN
IEEE Winter Summit on Smart Computing and Networks, WiSSCoN 1.0 is an IEEE conference conducted by the Department of Information Technology, SSN College of Engineering for the research community. It is a conference venue for researchers to present and exchange significant and innovative contributions and ideas in the field of Smart Computing, Networks, and closely related areas. WiSSCoN 1.0 covers both theoretical and systems research. The conference is scheduled for March 15-17, 2023 on hybrid mode and includes a main technical program, several workshops, keynote talks by eminent researchers from India and abroad, panel discussions, and poster sessions.

OUR COLLEGE
Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN), founded by Padma Bhushan Dr. Shiv Nadar, Chairman, HCL Technologies, stands out as a premier center of higher learning with a mission of pursuing excellence in education and research. The institutions, with their diverse and dynamic community of students offer a distinctive combination of some of the finest graduate, undergraduate and research programs, accomplished faculty, world class facilities and a residential campus set on a sprawling 250 acres of sylvan surroundings. OUR IT DEPARTMENT
The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 1999. Our Mission is to provide quality education to the students and impart IT excellence in them. Apart from making them good technocrats, we also provide individual attention to make them good citizens of our nation to serve the industry and society constructively. Drawing upon SSNCE’s tradition of teaching excellence, the department with 30 faculty members and 480/600 students of UG, PG, PhD research scholars, JRF and Project Staff work closely together in an open, collegial atmosphere. The department places equal emphasis on theoretical and experimental Information Technology. The department has state-of-art facilities in various labs, a well-equipped seminar hall and a conference room, classrooms to support e-learning and a department library. The department is Accredited by NBA for the second consecutive term for 5 years for the period 2015-2020.

Short Papers
WiSSCoN 2023 also solicits short papers. Short paper submissions must describe original and unpublished work. Short papers should have a point that can be made in a few pages. Some kinds of short papers are:
- A small, focused contribution
- Work in progress
- Experience notes
- Survey papers
- A negative result
- An opinion piece
- An interesting application nugget
Short papers may consist of 6 - 8 pages including references Short papers will be presented in one or more oral or poster sessions. While short papers will be distinguished from regular papers in the proceedings, there will be no distinction in the proceedings between short papers presented orally and as posters.
Publications
Accepted research papers will be submitted for inclusion in WiSSCoN Proceedings. The extended versions of high-quality innovative research papers from the registered papers presented at the conference will be considered for publications in IEEE Xplore Digital Library
